Bungie’s pinnacle PvP activity is back in rotation, and if you’re looking for details on the Destiny 2 Trials rewards this week, you’ve come to the right place. Before you start working your way up through the ladder, you’ll want to know what you’re actually working for – so here’s a breakdown of what’s available each week, and what map you’ll be playing on.
If you’re not familiar with Trials of Osiris, it’s a weekly PvP challenge where you enter a competitive gauntlet of 3v3 elimination matches. You’ll get new loot at three, five, and seven wins, but you’ll have to start all over if you suffer three losses. For the strongest (or luckiest) players, you’ll get an additional reward for going flawless with seven wins and zero losses.
Trials lands with the reset every Friday at 10am PST / 1pm EST / 6pm BST, and lasts until the Tuesday reset at those same times. Each week provides a new set of rewards and a new map to play on, so here’s what you can expect for the latest rotation.
This week (April 23, 2021) the Trials of Osiris map is Javelin-4. You can earn:
- 3 wins: The Messenger (pulse rifle)
- 5 wins: Gauntlets
- 7 wins: Chest armour
- Flawless: The Messenger (adept pulse rifle)

The Igneous Hammer is one of the best Hand Cannons in Destiny 2 so far. Its stats are 92 Impact, 68 Range, 42 Stability, 43 Handling, 37 Reload Speed, and 120 Rounds per Minute. While there are technically a few ways to unlock it, by far the most reliable way will be to complete the Trial By Firing Squad challenge. How To Get The Igneous Hammer Hand Cannon In trials of osiris Destiny 2
Loot in Destiny 2‘s Trials of Osiris mode rotates on a weekly basis, and there is a chance for players to unlock the Igneous Hammer as a reward for winning three, five, or seven times. However, this is often random, so it may take a while for Guardians to grind before unlocking this weapon.
The easiest and most reliable way to unlock the Igneous Hammer is to complete a seasonal challenge. Dataminer Trials Report on Twitter suggested that completing Trial By Firing Squad will be a guaranteed drop for the Igneous Hammer. This is a challenge in Week 8. It requires players to enter Trials of Osiris and win seven rounds, which tends to be much easier than completing multiple matches in this game mode.
Apart from getting lucky after winning three, five, or seven matches in Trials of Osiris each week, there are a few other ways for Guardians to access the Igneous Hammer. Weekly Bounties in Trials of Osiris also have a chance of dropping the Igneous Hammer. Once players unlock the weapon in either of these two ways, they will also be able to redeem another one at Saint-14 in the Tower for Tokens.
